Southpaw has opened in Seattle on 12th Ave. Brainchild of James Beard award-winning chef John Sundstrom, the pizza place is dubbed as a nod to all things unorthodox - like a left-handed boxer's stance. The signature menu item is somewhere in-between Neapolitan and New York in style.
Rhein Haus, originally from Seattle, has opened its Bavarian-inspired restaurant in Tacoma’s Stadium neighborhood, on the former “Auto Row.” The restored 13,000 sq. ft. historic space, featuring inspired décor sourced from around the world, features four indoor bocce ball courts, floor-to-ceiling windows with views of Wright Park and a large outdoor patio. The popular restaurant serves house-made sausages and pretzels, as well as a selection of salads, sandwiches and entrees, and an impressive selection of German, Belgian and American beers, with a focus on lagers. Rhein Haus serves dinner, lunch, weekend brunch and daily happy hour and late night menus, and is host to private events of all sizes.
