Hamlet's new chef intros "Hammy Hour"
As Devon Chase takes of the stove as the new head chef at Portland's Hamlet, she adds a new Hammy Hour Mon. - Sat. 4 - 7 p.m. The ham-centric restaurant is owned by Cathy Whims and Ryan Magarian. Devon had previously served as jr. sous at Cathy's Nostrana and Oven & Shaker. Most recently she was sous chef at Johanna Wares' Asian fusion spot Smallwares for three years.
Hammy Hour is a swine and sherry twist on happy hour. The menu includes delicious bits that pair beautifully with sips of the Spanish elixir.
Hamlet opened in the Pearl District. The menu features all things porcine from prosciutto to country ham, dished up with house-made favorites including fresh hand-pulled mozzarella and pimento cheese.
